Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various heavy equipment. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating hydrovac trucks to excavate and expose underground utilities while adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites.

Responsibilities
  • Operate hydrovac trucks and associated equipment for excavation tasks.
  • Ensure the safe operation of heavy machinery including but not limited to excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, graders, and water trucks.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute excavation projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist with horizontal drilling operations as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Experience
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is essential, including familiarity with Caterpillar machinery.
  • Commercial driving experience is required; a valid commercial driver’s license is preferred.
  • Previous construction site experience is highly desirable, with skills in paving and tanker operations being an asset.
  • Knowledge of hydrovac operations and safety protocols is a plus.
  • Experience working with various types of excavation equipment such as graders and water trucks will be beneficial.
