Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines and related systems to identify issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and machinery.
- Utilize power tools and specialized equipment for assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Operate cranes and other lifting equipment safely during repair processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in automotive repair, specifically with diesel engines.
- Experience working in a dealership setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is an asset.
- Ability to lift heavy objects as required for various repair tasks.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems related to diesel engines.
- Capability to assemble components accurately based on specifications.
- Knowledge of how to dig safely around equipment during repairs.
